The amphitheatre shows a mad 3D adventure in time (three dimensional, polarised) in the Auvergne to observe the formation of the Chaîne des Puys.

Here you can see and touch Tamentit, a meterorite as old as our Earth. Discover around this meteorite the suppositions and hypotheses on the centre of the Earth. Some models illustrate the internal structure of the planet, real or invented, you are invited to choose the true and the false. Some models are inspired by the work of Jules Verne.

After having crossed a corridor in time, representing th enecessary 7 months of travelling to reach the planet Mars, the children can as part of an educational and entertaining visit can step foot on the red planet and look for bacteria ... the parents can follow the little ones and learn about Mars too.

Two walk ways based on the themes of volcanism and its rocks (red walk way: beneath the countryside) and nature (the green walk way), both take you on a journey to learn about surrounding countryside. Unique view points, question and answer game ...

The rumbling gallery gets us into shape before the visit. It allows us to discover eruptions through audiovisual aids. The surroundings and the sensations allow us to be plunged into the appropriate atmosphere for the visit to come.

The footlights of the fervent hoards invite you to uncover the catastrophe of the eruption of St Helens mountain and its effects, reconstructed with real materials. The observatory will make you aware of the consequences of volcanic eruptions and observation (techniques). Then, around a scale model of a volcano, you can discover how an alert is dealt with. The krafft space allows you to discover a collection of images and spectacular objects from a famous vulcanologist couple. Finally, the Pompeii room shows you how volcanoes are deified…

The volcanic garden, the passing point that you need to take before you get into the main zones also allows you to stroll around the exotic plants. This garden shows that life can resume on territory devastated by eruptions.

Planets and volcanoes allows us to discover models of volcanic activity of the solar system and the internal functioning of our planet. The important role which volcanism had to play in our evolution is explained in detail using interactive games, videos, books ... To end with you will find a summary of this area in the theatre where you can sit comfortably in inclined seats and read the logbook about a meteorite. Don't forget to see the white-hot river at the exit.

The great show rook has space for 400 spectators around a 415 m² screen, upon which a film in 8/70 mm format plunges you right into the heart of impressive eruptions. There are only 80 of these rooms in the world and 5 cameras capable of taking advantage of this format.

Witness a real earthquake like never before. On board the largest earthquake simulator in Europe, you will discover how the Earth shakes and the causes and consequences. A spectacular adventure.

A non dynamic zone is also there for those who do not want to go on the simulator.

On the volcano trail brings us across hot springs, mud potholes in the heart of a reconstructed post-volcanic countryside. You can discover the way volcanoes work here and also their beneficial effects for mankind. The Magic Sea allows you to see European volcanism and you can see the different aspects of volcanoes.
