Swiss steam park (Swiss Vapeur Parc)

Swiss Steam Park is situated between Evian and Montreux on the Swiss side of Lake Geneva. It attracts 170 000 visitors each year and is the must see park of the French-speaking Swiss Haute-Savoie region.

The surface area of the park is 17 000 m². The train circuit is approximately 1.7 km in length and the train tour lasts over 7 minutes. This park, which is dedicated to model steam trains is the only one of its kind in Europe and is made entirely by volunteers who are very meticulous in their work.

Its plus points:
The only two-storey model train park.
The quality of the reproduction of the trains and buildings.
The new releases presented each season, whether that is equipment or buildings.
The international steam festival which brings the most beautiful machines in all the world together for one weekend in June every year.

Its minus points:
Definite overcrowding during the summer season.
The lack of covered areas if it rains.
